SCoV2-rN Omicron (BA.2/BA.5) variant from S. cerevisiae, frozen
Description: SARS-CoV-2 recombinant Nucleoprotein (SCoV2-rN) Omicron/BA.5 variant (SCoV2-rNο5) expressed in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It contains five mutations (the same for nucleoproteins of Omicron BA.2 and BA.5 variants) in comparison to the reference SARS-CoV-2 Nucleoprotein sequence (UniProtKB sequence accession number: P0DTC9 (NCAP_SARS2)): P13L, ERS31-33del, R203K, G204R and S413R; expressed as a full-length protein with C-terminal His6-tag. It was purified from yeast lysates under native (non-denaturing) conditions using convenient chromatographic techniques. Then it was dialyzed against PBS, filter-sterilized, aliquoted, and frozen for storage.
Form: Frozen liquid in PBS (pH 7.4).
Safety: Product 22-S2NOM5-ScB-F contains only yeast expressed proteins that are not infectious or hazard. Contains no plasma or serum of animal origin. No safety precautions are required.
Storage: The product is shipped with dry ice (shipment cost to Europe: 160 €). Store at -80°C for the long term. After thawing may be stored for short-term at 4°C (stable at least 1 week at this temperature). Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Concentration: 0.7 mg/ml.
Image: SDS-PAGE showing SCoV2-rNο5 product 22-S2NOM5-ScB-F at approximately 48 kDa (2 μg/lane).
Purity: >90% pure SCoV2-rNο protein as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Applications (tested): ELISA, other immunoassays, Western blot, SDS-PAGE.
Reactivity of SCoV2-rNο5 (product 22-S2NOM5-ScB-F) with monoclonal antibodies against initial sequence SCoV2-rN in ELISA: nucleoprotein Omicron variant was recognized by all four mouse antibodies raised using initial wt sequence SCoV2-rN Baltymas products #20-S2N-ScA-F (MAbs B11N and B12N) and #21-S2delNN-ScB-F (MAbs B13N and B14N).
