Native recombinant human calreticulin from P. pastoris, frozen
Description: Human calreticulin full length recombinant mature protein (400 a.a.; 18-417 a.a.) (UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot sequence accession number: P27797). Expressed in P. pastoris as a full length precursor (1-417 a.a.), which is processed in to the mature form (signal peptide (1-17 a.a.) is cleaved after translocation in to the ER) and secreted in to the yeast growth medium. Recombinant calreticulin is purified from the yeast growth medium using convenient chromatographic techniques.
Quality: Corresponds to native human calreticulin protein in so far as possible. Does not contain any additional amino acids or posttranslational modifications. All protein is in monomeric state. Functional in cellular migration and proliferation assays.
Form: Stored in -70˚C in 20 mM TRIS, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 3 mM CaCl2 buffer.
Storage: Shipped on dry ice (shipment costs: 130 € to Europe and 150 € to US). Protein is stable for 1-2 weeks at 2-8°C. For longer periods should be stored at -70°C.
Concentration: 2.5 mg/ml.
Purity: >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
