Measles virus recombinant nucleoprotein (Me-rN) from P. pastoris, lyophilized
Description: Measles virus strain Edmonston (Schwarz vaccine) full-length (525 a.a.) recombinant nucleoprotein (GenBank: AAF85699.1). Expressed in Pichia pastoris and purified from yeast lysates by ultracentrifugation in CsCl gradients under native (non-denaturing) conditions.
Form: Lyophilized in phosphate buffer.
Quality: assembled in nucleocapsid-like particles (NLPs), which are morphologically similar to native viral nucleocapsids.
Current Lot EM picture after reconstituting lyophilized material: Me-rN preparation visualized by negative staining with uranyl acetate, magnification 110.000x
Storage: Shipped at ambient temperature (shipment costs to Europe: 70 €). Lyophilized products may be stored at 2-8°C or at -20°C for longer periods.
Reconstitution: add 133 μl of deionized water for reconstitution of 200 µg of Me-rN protein in each separate vial. Check lyophilized material to be completely dissolved before use.
Concentration of reconstituted product: 1.5 mg/ml in phosphate buffer.
Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
SDS-PAGE showing reconstituted Me-rN product 12MeN-BPp-L at approximately 58 kDa (3 μg/lane).
Applications (tested): Western blot, SDS-PAGE, Electron Microscopy. Note: should be suitable for more applications, but has not been tested yet.
