Western blot using monoclonal antibody 5F3 to hepatitis E virus capsid protein (Cat. code 18MAk-HEV-5F3), 0.5 µg/ml, followed by secondary anti-mouse antibody conjugated to HRP.

1 – purified rat hepatitis E virus (genotype C1) capsid protein produced in S. cerevisiae, 0.5 µg,
2 – HEV3-rCP, purified HEV (genotype 3) capsid protein produced in S. cerevisiae, 0.5 µg,
3 – S. cerevisiae lysate, 10 µg.
Proteins were separated in 12% SDS-PAGE.
Chromogenic detection was performed by 4-chloro-1-naphthol.

Recommended starting dilutions: ELISA – 1:1000 to 1:10000, WB – 1:500 to 1:2000, IF – 1:20 to 1:50. Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end user.
