Native recombinant human GRP78/BiP from P. pastoris, frozen
Description: Human GRP78/BiP full length recombinant mature protein (636 a.a.; 19-654 a.a.) (UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot sequence accession number: P11021). Expressed in P. pastoris as a full length precursor (1-654 a.a.), which is processed in to the mature form (signal peptide (1-18 a.a.) is cleaved after translocation in to the ER) and secreted in to the yeast growth medium. Recombinant BiP is purified from the yeast growth medium using convenient chromatographic techniques.
Quality: Corresponds to native human BiP/GRP78 protein in so far as possible. Does not contain any additional amino acids or posttranslational modifications. Predominantly in monomeric state.
Form: Stored in -70˚C in 50 mM HEPES, pH 6.8, 50 mM NaCl, 2 mM MgCl2 buffer.
Storage: Shipped on dry ice (shipment costs: 130 € to Europe and 150 € to US). Protein is stable for 1-2 weeks at 2-8°C. For longer periods should be stored at -70°C.
Concentration: 0.6 or 0.9 mg/ml (lot specific).
Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
SDS-PAGE analysis showing human BiP/GRP78 product 15BiP-GPp-F at approximately 78 kDa (5 and 10 μg/lane).
Applications (tested): Western blot and SDS-PAGE.
